Day8: Fireworks in and out of the gym!

Remember remember the 5th of November, the gun powder treason and plot. I see no reason why the gun powder treason should ever be forgot!

I have always wanted a moment to unleash such a grand quote from V for Vendetta. And now its done shall we move on.

My bloody joints feel terrible right now. Im talking my elbows, knees, shoulders ankles etc. Pretty much anything with a point of articulation. The reason? Parkour in the cold... I love Parkour but I hate the ill effects it has on my body. Besides having quite a sharp pain in my left elbow i shunned the spangly fireworks and ploughed on through a Chest/Shoulders/Triceps workour down the gym.

I would like to welcome back my new training partner. Ratboy! Good workout tonight boyo. He got the money on dips!

Onto the workout for those interested in numbers;

Flat Dumbell Bench press - 3 sets of 8

Warm up - 8 x 26Kg
Workset 1 - 8 x 30Kg
Workset 2 - 8 x 34Kg
Workset 3 - 10 x 42Kg <---Real Pleased with that 1! PB Parallel bar dips - 3 Sets of 8

Warm up - 8 x BW (Bodyweight)
Warm up - 8 x BW
Workset 1 - 8 x BW+20Kg
Workset 2 - 8 x BW+40Kg
Workset 3 - 7 x BW + 52Kg (Failed the last rep again but with a little extra)

Press ups - 2 sets

Workset 1 - 10 x BW
Workset 2 - 10 x BW

Standing Military Press - 3 sets of 8

Warm up - 8 x Bar
Workset 1 - 8 x 45Kg
Workset 2 - 8 x 55Kg
Workset 3 - 7 x 59Kg

SkullCrushers - 2 sets of 10

Warm up - 10 x Bar
Workset 1 - 10 x 30Kg
Workset 2 - 6 x 40Kg

Maaan, My tris were absolutely fried by the time I hit up the skullz. I had originally scribbled them down for 3 sets - However set 2 didn't want to work at all!!! The weight should have been spot on as I have done that previously... I may lower the weight next week and push the reps to 12 solid slow and controlled. Other than that the trip to the gym was well and truly worth it for the PB on dumbell bench. TO be honest I liftted it A-OK for 10. Im projecting bigger weight in the coming weeks for 8! WooHaa.
